Claire McCartney


Claire McCartney is the Senior Resourcing and Inclusion Policy Adviser at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Claire specialises in inclusion, diversity, flexible working and resourcing. She has also developed guidance around compassionate bereavement support, workplace carers, creating menopause-friendly workplaces, domestic abuse workplace support and age diversity.

Claire has also worked on a number of international projects, is the author of several reports and articles and regularly presents at seminars and conferences.

Claire has previously run her own research and consultancy organisation and was Principal Researcher at Roffey Park. While there, she conducted research projects into a variety of topics including Roffey Park’s annual Management Agenda survey, work-life balance, flexible working, employee volunteering, talent management and diversity.

Claire has also worked with a range of clients on tailored research needs.
