Isaura Barbé-Brown

Isaura Barbé-Brown grew up in Hackney, in London’s East End. It was here that her acting career began with roles in local theatre. She studied at AADA in New York and BADA in Oxford, continuing her studies of history and English literature.

She writes The Final Girls Bloody Women monthly column, Bloody Perfect, as well as contributing other pieces for their site and guesting on their podcast. Isaura has also written for Black Ballad, Den Of Geek and the BFI. She has been on film panels and delivered talks for the BFI, The Watersprite Film Festival and The Norwich Film Festival.

Her acting work covers theatre, film, TV and voiceover and she also writes film scripts, plays, short stories and poetry. Isaura had a leading role in the feature film, David is Dying (2011) and she also played Laurena Kama in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), in the Harry Potter franchise. Her latest film, Halo, will be released in 2022.
