Priscilla Nkwenti


Priscilla recently retired as CEO of Health Inequalities Charity BHA for Equality after 30 years of uninterrupted service with the organisation. BHA for Equality started life as Black HIV and Aids Forum (BHAF) and Priscilla joined them as a volunteer in 1990 and rose through the ranks to become CEO in 2006.

She contributed to the development and geographical expansion of the organisation at local, regional and national level, making BHA one of the leading Third Sector organisations championing and leading on health inequality issues. At international level she championed and promoted sexual inequalities presenting at various conferences and seminars.

Priscilla has been privileged to share her experience of her grief when her younger brother passed away in Bamenda, Cameroon, in the publication, Sisters and Brothers: Stories about the death of a sibling, curated by Julie Bentley and Simon Blake.

Priscilla is currently enjoying spending time with her first grandchild (Mia Mangwi James Nkwenti-Swan) and walking her grand dog, Milo.
