How to Support Someone Who’s Bereaved

What do you say when someone has lost a loved one? Where do you start? Many people who have been bereaved can start to feel isolated and alone because their friends and family just don’t know what to say, or what to do to support them.

Often, people stay silent rather than risking saying the wrong thing, avoiding conversations and opportunities to share altogether.

Andy Langford is Clinical Director for the UK’s largest bereavement charity, Cruse Bereavement Care, and was their senior major incident responder for the Manchester bombing, the London Bridge attack and the Grenfell Tower fire.

Andy uses his many years of experience to equip us with the tools we need to feel more confident supporting people who are bereaved.
