The Best of Julia Samuel’s Advice on Grief

Grief expert and psychotherapist Julia Samuel MBE has been an incredible supporter of and contributor to the Good Grief Fest since the project began in early 2020. Julia took part in several hugely popular interviews, panel discussions and Q&A sessions, and we were thrilled to launch the Ask Julia sessions earlier in 2021 as a result of the overwhelmingly positive feedback these received.

In this pre-recorded event, we bring together for the first time the highlights of Julia’s advice from her diverse Good Grief sessions. These are the thoughts, feelings and conversations that really resonated with our audiences as Julia talks about grief and loss in its many forms. Tune in to hear her common-sense advice and the wisdom of her experience, perhaps taking away some food for thought or a new perspective on processing your own grief, or supporting the bereaved.

Julia is a paediatric counsellor and one of the UK’s leading psychotherapists. She was awarded an MBE in 2015 for her services to bereaved children. Julia is Founder Patron of Child Bereavement UK and is a Vice President of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Julia has authored two bestselling books, Grief Works and This Too Shall Pass.
