Gary Andrews

Gary Andrews (A.K.A. GaryScribbler) is a professional artist, cartoonist and animator who was unexpectedly widowed when his wife suddenly died in late 2017. He has documented the grief journey online with a series of daily cartoons which have gained a large following on social media.

From learning how to juggle his kids’ playdates and single-handedly organising Christmas, to getting used to the empty side of the bed, Gary’s honest and often hilarious illustrations have touched the hearts of thousands on social media. Now, a collection of his sketches have been published in Finding Joy, a book which tells the story of how one family learned to live again after tragedy.

Gary is also an illustrator, actor and director for film, TV and stage. He features on Episode 50 of the Griefcast podcast.
